A couple of things came up that require blog space, so I had to post entry 1.5 before the Wednesday meeting of the Southern Oregon Homebrew/Motorcycle club.
Firstly, I am now a proud contributor to the Helium.com beer channel. My writer profile and a list of my articles can be found at http://www.helium.com/users/468895.
Here's a teaser from my first article: Testimonies: Confessions of a Beer Snob.
"My ascent into beer snobbery began one fateful day at my local 7-11. Browsing the beer section, my eye was caught by a bold statement adorning one of the 22 oz bottles: "You're Not Worthy" the bottle of Arrogant Bastard seemed to scream at me from the shelf. I picked up the offending bottle and stared that haughty looking gargoyle right in the eyes. His message was scrolled across the back, detailing the myriad of reasons why I was not worthy of imbibing such a precious beverage; I faltered then. What if he was right? What if I truly wasn't worthy? I decided there was only one way to find out.
Arriving at a 'BYOB' event clutching my 22 oz bottle of Stone's Arrogant Bastard Ale [alongside the customary offering of a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon, of course] I proceeded to pop the top off the bottle and stare at it with trepidation; this was the moment of truth, the moment that would decide once and for all what kind of beer drinker I would be. Hopefully we'll have a more in-depth entry about this killer organization in the coming weeks. 'Till then, stay tuned for my much anticipated visit to the Southern Oregon Motorcycle and Homebrew Club meeting.
Cheers!

post one!
Okay, so after some considerable setbacks [like the accidental deletion of almost three months worth of regular entries...] we are back online at a new address and loving it! Unfortunately - as with any fresh start - the archives are permenantly unavailable for review. I have thrown things and hit other things and sent angry, spiteful emails to the powers that hosted my last blog, all to no avail.
So here we are, new season, new blog. The spot to be for Fall [and beyond...] is: http://www.oregonbrew.blogspot.com/

Our "first" adventure - coming up next week - is a meeting of the homebrew and motorcycle society of Southern Oregon meeting. Given the dubious advisibility of combining such endeavors, I would stay tuned if I were you. It's gonna be a hoot.
Cheers for now!
